This particular digicam had my attention because of its unique (some might say weird) design. It is a compact digicam from Panasonic, one of the leading digicam brands in the market. It is called the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS1.

The TS1 measures 98 x 63 x 23mm and weighs 189g. As you can see, it is slightly larger and heavier than most compact digicams. As I said earlier, it has a unique (or weird) design. The design is really one of a kind. I would call it a 'robotic' design because it has all the square-ish elements. Though not elegant, the design is certainly attractive. The digicam comes in a sort-of gray-ish color that actually looks good. The body is said to be dustproof and waterproof. This greatly reduces the need for routine maintainence. In addition to that, this also allows the digicam to be used in more 'rough' environments with a lower damage risk. The digicam is also shockproof and does not get damaged if dropped from a height of less than 1.3 meters. I couldn't bring myself to drop it but the owner of the digicam dropped it for me. True enough, there were no scratches and no visible or internal damage. Isn't that cool?

The digicam's screen is a standard 2.7″, 230,000 dots LCD screen. The screen can be viewed in all lighting conditions. The very slight reflectivity of the screen does not cause problems when using the digicam outdoors. The screen displays media both clearly and colorfully. The screen is also scratch resistant and does not suffer from drop damage or rough handling.

For memory, you can use either SD, SDHC or MMC cards. Card usage does affect the digicam's speed but only very slightly. The startup and file browsing as well as file accessing speed is still fast though. The digicams controls are easy to use. The buttons are easily recognized and are responsive. However, they are slightly more sensitive than other digicams' buttons. It might take some getting used to.

The maximum picture resolution of the TS1 is 12.1 megapixels. Pictures like that are most suitable for editing, especially cropping. Even if you don't want to edit the pictures, you can still use the pictures as it is as medium sized posters. The pictures are clear, bright and focused. This is due to the excellent image stabilization and face detection autofocus capabilities. The image stabilization feature keeps the images clear, even at maximum zoom (4.6x to be exact). As for the video, the maximum video resolution is 1280 x 720 pixels, high definition video. Videos are extremely detailed and large. The videos are most suitable to be played on large screens (like HD TVs). Video quality is excellent. Videos are bright, colorful and clear. Video file size is a little large but having large memory cards would solve that problem.

The digicam is slightly expensive. However, it is well worth your money. The digicam is a definte must-have.

Are you feeling a little cash strapped at the moment? Need a new digicam urgently? Well this next digicam might just be what will suit you. It is a budget digicam from Panasonic. Lets take a look at the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS62.

The particular Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS62 model that I tried out is blue in color. Of course, I have been told that it comes in other colors as well. Even so, I quite liked the blue model. It had a very simplistic design. It didn't look too flashy or too sophisticated. It would be most suitable for those who like their gadgets simple but still functional. The digicam's body is easy to grip. This increases picture stability later on. The digicam measures 97 x 55 x 22mm and weighs around 140g. Slightly heavy and on the large side but it is still manageable. The digicam is quite scratch resistant and drop damage resistant.

As expected from a budget digicam, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS62 has a smaller than usual screen. It comes with a 2.5″ LCD display with a resolution of 230k dots. The display is small, but it is still good. Display is sharp and clear. Images don't look grainy when displayed on the screen. Display is also quite colorful. The screen has a bright backlight. Display is good during the day or night. The screen is quite scratch resistant, just like the body.

To store data, you can use either SD or SDHC cards. There's also 50MBs of internal memory. Leave that alone as usual. Card usage does not affect the stability of the digicam. It does not crash or slow down. Quite surprising for a budget digicam. Usually budget digicams slow down when cards are used. Anyway, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS62 has a very easy to use interface. Thats typical of Panasonic digicams. Panasonic digicam users would find no problems getting used to the interface. The controls are quite responsive and clearly indicated. They do not wear out easily as well.

The maximum resolution of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS62 is 10.1 megapixels. It is slightly smaller than what I'm getting used to but still large enough for the average digicam user. The pictures are suitable for editing without losing any detail. Images are sharp and colorful. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS62 comes with image stabilization features. This ensures that minor shakes to the digicam does not result in picture blurring. The digicam also comes with a 6 position white balance override feature. This ensures that the pictures are colorful and look natural. The digicam has ISO ratings of 80, 100, 200, 400, 800 and 1600. Pictures remain surprisingly clear in all ratings. Use higher ratings for better looking pictures. As for the videos, the maximum video resolution is 848 x 480 pixels. Videos are clear and can be played on slightly larger screens. There is no occurrence of pixelization. Video motion is smooth and uninterrupted. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS62 comes with 4x zoom.

The price of this digicam should be a major plus point. It costs below US$50 if you know where to look! Try it out before you buy it. I highly recommend it.

Lets take a look at one of the latest digicam's from Panasonic, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS25. It is an ultracompact camera and is nicely designed. The FS25 measures 97 x 58 x 22mm and weighs 148g. As you an see, the digicam is slightly larger and heavier than most digicams of the same category. Nevertheless, the digicam is still small and light enough for my liking. The design is somewhat modern. However, it is not unique. You will be able to find certain similar elements that are quite common in Panasonic digicam. For example, the front portion of the digicam. It is shiny but it does not attract fingerprints. The sides are nicely squared and the camera itself offers a good grip. This digicam comes in black.

Next, we will look at the display. The FS25 sports and unusually large display. Thats 3″ with 230,000 dots to be exact. Though large, I find the display somewhat lacking in clarity. Media that is displayed on the screen can be blur at times. However, this problem only arises when previewing media, not while recording videos or taking pictures. Nevertheless, the displays are colorful. The screen can be used in outdoor lighting conditions with minimal interference. The screen is not easily scratched.

The FS25 supports SD, SDHC and MMC cards in addition to having 50MBs of internal memory. Card usage does not affect the stability of the digicam. However, startup is generally slower than other digicams. Most of you will not complain because the startup time is slower by only about a few seconds. Nevertheless, I think that fact should be mentioned. As for the navigation, the digicam can 'move' between media files smoothly. No matter how many files you have stored on your memory card, file browsing speed remains the same. The digicam's controls are a little confusing at first. I took a little longer than usual in figuring them out. This is probably due to the slightly confusing button arrangements.

Now we come to the digicam's media capabilities. The maximum picture resolution is around 12.1 megapixels (even though on the body of the camera it is written 12 megapixels). The pictures are poster quality and definitely print quality. If you need to edit pictures, then these pictures are well suited to that task. Pictures are extremely detailed, even to the tiniest spots. Pictures like these are perfect for enlarging. Objects the the pictures are sharp and not blurred. This is due to the digicam's excellent image stabilization feature. The pictures are very colorful too. Even at night, the pictures do not exhibit any grainy-ness in them provided there is sufficient lighting. However, I must say that if there is too little lighting, the pictures do turn out grainy. The flash tends to create the red-eye effect sometimes. The videos are quite large. The FS25 records videos of up to 848 x 480 pixels. As you can see, the videos are slightly larger than the usual 640 x 480 pixel videos. This contributes directly to the videos' file sizes. Because the videos are large, you might want to keep spare memory cards when you are going to record a lot of videos. Videos are clear and colorful. There is absolutely no 'boxing' and video motion is smooth. The FS25 has a longer zoom range than average at 5x. This allows you to zoom and focus on farther objects. The excellent image stabilization function ensures that the pictures remain clear even at full zoom even if you have unsteady hands to a certain degree.

The Panasonic Lumix FS25 is an excellent digicam. Great job Panasonic.

The Introduction of the Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ50

There are plethoras of attractive, sprightly models, such as the ostensible Mega-zoom cameras, which definitely have a uniqueness of their hold. Panasonic lingers as an activist for the super zoom, and it supported by the introduction of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50.

Optical Zoom of the Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ50

The true appearance of the Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ50 portraits it to be a mega-zoom camera compare to conventional camera. When compared to a 35mm camera, the 12x optical zoom provides a range of 35 up to 420mm. It is quite unfortunate that a little more wide-angle is not supported, especially now that Panasonic are sturdily declaring their concept with the 28mm crusade.

Optical Image Stabilizer of the Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ50

Just like other previously introduced camera by Panasonic, the Lumix DMC FZ50 also features an optical image stabilizer. To most users and experienced photographer, the is a welcome idea that will blow away the mind of users globally. If a user is functioning with long focal points mainly, actually from 5x optical zoom, the procurer will find it becomes somewhat more complicated to keep a tranquil hold of the camera. The mega optical image stabilizer permits the user to succeed just about 2 steps. Accordingly, a user would still be able to apply hand-held picture taken when functioning with a 250mm range at 1/60. A succeeding benefit that is not to be undervalued is the reality that the FZ50 merely facilitates comfortable snap taken.

Lens of the Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ50

A striking Leica DC Vario-Elmarit f/2.8 – f/3.7 7.4-88.8 mm lens is found on the front side of the Panasonic FZ50. That has an utmost lens aperture of f/2.8, it is noticeably bright. Idyllic if a procurer is enthusiastic to test with the profundity of field, or frequently capture snapshot in dim light situations. An additional feature that comes in useful in such cases is the mega optical image stabilizer. The lens is outfitted with an authentic zoom and focus ring. As a result, a user can work with it in alike way as with a usual DSLR lens; a benefit that will probably be esteemed by the procurers. The opening does have to be set on the casing by means of a command dial. Besides, the front side of the FZ50 delivers a command dial in the hand-grip, and a small indicator for the AF assistance illuminator and the self-timer.

LCD Screen of the Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ50

The rear side of the camera supports an electronic viewfinder with a dioptre-setting, and a flip-out LCD screen. The 2-inch LCD screen hinges to the base side of the FZ50. Normally, the hinge is usually close to the upper side. This device permits a user to place the monitor under a wide selection of abnormal angles, which enhances the use of unconventional positions when taking shots by a procurer.
Unluckily, these turning monitors seem to have lost some of their application. In contrast, it is only fair to say that both the quality and the viewing angle of the monitor have undergone significant improvements, which means it now forms moderately a genuine substitute for flip-out screens. The right side of the camera's monitor, the focus and exposure lock switch, plus a control to interchange between the monitor and the electronic viewfinder, a switch to regulate the monitor performance, the function button, and the recycle bin; all of which are situated in a perpendicular row. The speaker placed right on top of the cursor control that hold the set and menu button in their middle.

Control of the Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ50

Its size and fairly sturdy lens guarantee the FZ50 is both simple and convenient to grip. In order to get a stable and firm grip of the camera a procurer has to place his hand below the lens. The camera thus proved a pleasing model and also user's friendly. The mega optimal image stabilizer delivers an unproblematic, straightforward shooting.

Energy and Storage of the Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ50

Potential procurers of this camera will expected be enthusiastic on snapping as many photographs as they desire. The mind of capturing the shots of your environment comes to play while using the FZ50. Luckily, the camera also delivers a memory cards with higher storage aptitude. The DMC FZ50 is accompanied with a 32MB card; in the highest JPEG quality a procurer is permit to snap approximately six pictures.

Battery of the Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ50

A CGR-S006A 7.2 volt 710mAh Lithium Ion Battery accompanies the Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ50. If the battery is adequately and fully charged, a procurer is given the benefit to capture up to 100's of images. The battery is quite strong an effective such that the use of the optical image stabilizer does not really drop the power of the camera.

Function Button of the Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ50

The Panasonic Company did a well organized menu for the DMC FZ50, which clearly arranged and understandable. Therefore, it is doubtful for a user to look for an explicit setting. The new function button permits a user to quickly access the most significant functions, such as white balance correction, sensitivity, white balance and image set-up. Due to the handy of the camera, a user does not have to browse the menu extensively before getting to operate the DMC FZ50.

Give it a try by purchasing the Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ50 for your private use and pleasure. This camera mainly made for both neophyte and well-experience photography who are searching from a compact camera globally.

Lumix Dmc zs7 Buy

Here's an ultracompact digital camera from Panasonic that everyone should consider buying, if you already haven't bought a digicam. Lets take a look at why this digicam is worth buying.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX33, as I have said earlier, is an ultracompact digicam. Nevertheless, the size is not true to its classification. The digicam measures 95 x 52 x 22mm. As you can see, the digicam is slightly larger than what should be expected from an ultracompact digicam. Its just slightly larger, therefore it is not noticeable except by the most fussy digicam user. At 154g (or at least that's what has been said), the digicam is supposed to be light right? However, I did find it to be slightly heavy. I'm not sure. maybe its a psychological thing. The body has a sleek, metallic look and maybe I'm just imagining that it is as heavy as a lump of metal of that size. Anyway, you will love it's design. The color combination is great. The only problem with the digicam's body is that it gets scratched easily. After a few days of moderately rough usage, there were many fine scratches on the body.

The FX33 has a moderately average sized screen. It measures 2.5″ across and has 207000 dots. The display quality is slightly above average. I found that low resolution pictures don't look as good as it would on a screen with more dots. High resolution pictures look great though. The screen has a very good color capacity. This can be seen in the rich colors of your media. The display is almost as good as PC LCD screen. The screen works in all lighting conditions, which makes the FX33 a great digicam to use in the outdoors.

You get 27MBs of internal memory in the FX33. Not much, but thankfully you have three options for data storage: SD, MMC and SDHC cards. Use the cards all you want; the digicam does not become unstable. I usually use 2GB memory cards in my digicams. The FX33 did not slow down or crash even when a full card was used. Though not recommended, you can even store media on the digicam's internal memory without affecting the performance of the FX33. If you are going to use this digicam to record videos though, make sure you get a memory card when you buy the FX33.

Now we will take a look at what this digicam is capable of. The maximum picture resolution is 8.1 megapixels. The resolution is slightly above average. Amateur digicam users would not find a problem with it. In fact, they will love it. Pictures are detailed enough for printing. On top of that, the pictures are really colorful and bright. Do you have shaky hands? No worries! The digicam's internal image stabilizing system ensures that your pictures are crystal clear and not blurred. The red-eye reduction features also ensures your pictures are red-eye free. This digicam makes you picture taking so much easier. As for videos, the FX33's maximum video resolution is 848 x 480 pixels. Thats quite large actually. The videos are detailed and can be stretched a few times. This is very useful if you intend to view the videos on a large TV or PC screen. Video file size is slightly large (due to the higher resolution). The videos are clear, colorful and bright. The FX33 is capable of 3.6x optical zoom.

Interested in the FX33? You should be. Go to your nearest store and get it now! I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a good amateur digicam. A great buy.

This is a review of another Panasonic digicam that I have had the opportunity to use. The camera that I am going to review on is the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS5. I still have no idea what Lumix means. Most likely, its just a fancy name to make the camera sound a bit more cool. Well I don't know. I'll just call it the FS5. The FS5 measures 95 x 54 x 23 mm. It's a little thick actually. It weighs about 159 grams. Dude this digicam is heavy. You will definitely notice the weight. It kind of put me off actually. The design wasn't all that great either. Though it did make the digicam look a little sophisticated, I have seen similar designs on more than one digicam. No marks for originality.

The FS5 supports SD, SDHC and MMC cards. It has an internal memory of around 50 megabytes. Its a good thing they make digicams to be more versatile these days. Anyway, the camera's performance is not affected by card usage. Although I did notice that when I was suing a MMC card, the digicam took a little loner to start up. By the way, the MMC card that I used was almost full.

This digicam comes with an average 2.5″ LCD screen with 230,000 dots. Ii have stuff to complain about here. The screen is way too reflective to be viewed properly under bright sunlight. I could barely see anything at all!. The screen can be viewed in the dark though. The color display is good but the display wasn't as sharp as I wanted it to be. You have to transfer media onto a PC to get a better look, which is tedious.

As for the pictures themselves, the effective resolution of the FS5 is around 10.1 megapixels. Very detailed, but I have something to complain about here as well. The digicam takes pictures that are too bright at times and too dull at times. This is probably something to do with the digicam's ability to adjust to the lighting. The pictures are sharp and colorful though. The lighting is the problem here. As for the videos, the maximum video resolution is 848 x 480 pixels. The videos resolution makes videos recorded with the FS5 most suitable to be viewed on a large PC screen. The FS5 has 4x optical zoom, which is generally longer than the average zoom range. I found that you could zoom farther objects than your average camera. This feature will definitely come in handy.

To be honest, this camera is one of those cameras that has equal pros and cons and I cant really tell whether you should buy it or not. All I can say is, buy at your own risk.
